traffic collision results only in property damage and certain conditions are met, the vehicles involved must be moved from the scene of the accident.<\/p><p>The purpose of the new legislation is to improve road safety and reduce traffic congestion.<\/p><p>Learn, step by step, what you need to do following a minor road traffic accident and how to protect your rights.<\/p><ol><li><strong>When should you move your vehicle?<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p><strong>Moving vehicles from the scene of the collision is mandatory when all the following conditions are met: <u>\u03cc\u03bb\u03b5\u03c2<\/u> \u03bf\u03b9 \u03c0\u03b9\u03bf \u03ba\u03ac\u03c4\u03c9 \u03c0\u03c1\u03bf\u03cb\u03c0\u03bf\u03b8\u03ad\u03c3\u03b5\u03b9\u03c2:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>No person involved has sustained any apparent bodily injuries.<\/li><li>Police attendance or intervention at the scene is not required.<\/li><li>The vehicles can be moved without towing and without causing further damage to the vehicles or the roadway<\/li><li>It is reasonable to do so under the circumstances prevailing at the time<\/li><\/ul><p>Where all the above conditions are satisfied, drivers are required to move their vehicles to the nearest safe location to avoid obstructing the normal flow of traffic. The decision to move the vehicles should be based on the circumstances at the time of the accident, including traffic conditions, the time of the incident, and the safety of everyone involved.<\/p><p>Under the legislation, moving vehicles is mandatory whenever the above conditions are met, regardless of whether the drivers involved agree to do so.<\/p><ol start=\"2\"><li><strong>What should you do before moving your vehicle?<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><ul><li>Contact the Company's Accident Assistance Service immediately on 8000 56 56. A representative will guide you through the next steps and provide the information and support you need to ensure the incident is handled correctly.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Before moving the vehicle, make sure you take photographs of:<\/strong>:<\/p><ul><li>the vehicles in their final positions after the collision;<\/li><li>the vehicle registration plates;<\/li><li>damage to each vehicle;<\/li><li>any damage to third-party property (e.g. road signs, guardrails, walls, fences);<\/li><li>skid marks or debris on the road surface;<\/li><li>the traffic signs, road markings and the layout of the accident scene;<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"3\"><li><strong>Exchange the necessary information<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>The drivers involved should exchange the following information:<\/p><ul><li>Full name;<\/li><li>Telephone number;<\/li><li>Driving licence number;<\/li><li>Vehicle registration number<\/li><li>Insurance policy details and insurance company;<\/li><li>Details of any passengers;<\/li><li>The photographs taken at the scene.<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"4\"><li><strong>Move your vehicle to a safe location<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>After completing the above steps, and where circumstances permit, move your vehicle off the roadway, to the nearest safe location to ensure the free flow of traffic. Remain at that location until the Company's Accident Assistance Service arrives.<\/p><ol start=\"5\"><li><strong> Submit the required information to the Accident Assistance Service<\/strong><\/li><\/ol><p>Send the photographs and the details of the drivers and vehicles involved to the Accident Assistance Service, in accordance with the instructions provided by the Service during the handling of the incident.<\/p><p><strong>When should you NOT move your vehicle?<\/strong><\/p><p>The vehicle must not be moved if:<\/p><ul><li>any person involved has sustained an apparent injury;<\/li><li>Police attendance or the intervention of other emergency services (e.g. ambulance or fire service) is required;<\/li><li>the vehicle cannot be moved without towing;<\/li><li>moving the vehicle could cause further damage to the vehicle or the roadway;<\/li><li>an uninsured vehicle is involved;<\/li><li>a government vehicle is involved;<\/li><li>one of the drivers leaves the scene of the accident.<\/li><\/ul><p>If any of the above circumstances apply, do not move your vehicle. Remain at the scene, take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of everyone involved, and comply with the instructions of the relevant authorities and the Company.<\/p><p><strong>Important Notice<\/strong><\/p><p>Failure to comply with the legal obligations governing the handling of minor road traffic accidents may result in the penalties prescribed by law.
